Welcome to KREINBERG genealogy

This homepage has been dedicated to my hobby - genealogical research. The KREINBERG family are my wife's ancestors. Her 6th G-g-father was Johann Nicolaus Kreinberg. He married a Charlotte Magdalene Martini at Altenburg/Thuringia in the year 1737 and herewith became progenitor of the Altenburg-line of the Kreinbergs. Johann Nicolaus Kreinberg was a hunter and descended from Grumbach near Bad Langensalza. At our researches at Grumbach and Bad Langensalza we found further Kreinbergs. The spelling of the name at 1700 was Kreynberg, Kreyenberg and Kreienberg. The name "Jägergasse" (Hunter's road) at Grumbach leads back to the partridge and trap (means a bird) hunter Kreyenberg, who was at about 1700 in the service of the sovereigns (dukedom Sachsen-Weissenfels) and lived there. We too found Kreyenbergs at Bad Langensalza. In 1622 a Johann Kreyenberg from Borcken married a Martha Zerbst at Bad Langensalza. From the further descendants an extensive genealogical tree exists. The Kreyenbergs have been a respected family of citizens at Bad Langensalza.

The Kreinbergs (descendants of Johann Nicolaus Kreinberg) had been resident at Altenburg/Thuringia since 1737. Many Kreinbergs from Altenburg moved to the U.S. For many years I have been doing intensive genealogical research and could find a lot of datas up to now. I too have contacts to the U.S. and I am researching for Kreinbergs there. Kreinbergs of the Altenburg-line could particularly be found at the following cities and states: San Francisco/CA, Scranton and Philadelphia/PA, Salem and Portland/Ore and in the state of Ohio.

Looking for more information on Florence Marguerite PAPADIMITRIOU

She was born on January 16, 1895 in San Diego.
Parents: Ernest FELT (FELDT) and Olga FELT (maiden name NEBEL, first marriage name KREINBERG). She was married to Constantine D. (Costa/Pop) PAPADIMITRIOU. Costa Pop died on May 1, 1937 and is buried in San Francisco/Mt. Oliver Cemetery. The plot was purchased by Florence in 1937 and is a double grave plot. Constantine is buried in plot 1 and the 2nd grave is empty. It appears Florence planned on being buried with him but was not. According to Polk's San Francisco City Directory 1945-46 Florence lived at 1397 Minna Street and the the owner of this house. Florence sold the property to two peoples in Sep. and Oct. of 1950. Grant Deed Florence PAPADIMITRIOU to Alice D. DONAHUE, unmarried, Sept 13, 1950 and Grant Deed Florence PAPADIMITRIOU to Hand P.M. PEDERSON or FEDERSEN, a single man, Oct. 13, 1950. Can anyone help me to find out what happened to Florence ?? I don't have any death information on her. It seems she went to another city or State. There is also no listing in the CADI. Or did she have a new marriage ??? Any help and any idea would be greatly appreciated. Greetings from Bavaria.
